Actually, my first ball head (to go with the first tripod and first 
monopod). Seems like it gets harder and harder to hold the damn camera 
steady - age, I suppose.
Anyway, I shelled out for the Acratech because I liked it. It's a bit 
different (like OMs, SAABs etc), but light and solid. It will be the 
last one that I buy. At least, that's how I rationalized the $$$$

So far tried it with the OM and the Pen FV, though really only to test 
the Pen lenses, the OM lenses on the Pen and the half-frame scanning 
ability of the local stores.
