I have both, actually three styles of the leather cases.  One of them is
the black with the tripod screw.  Seems like the black ones with the tripod
mount are either loved or hated.  As convenient as it can be for tripod
mounting, it can also dent the bottom around the screw socket if it is
dropped on the screw.  That said, I use the black one with the screw on the
OM-1n, not so much to use it as a tripod mount, but it makes the case
bottom easier to remove to put the tripod plate on the bottom of the OM-1n
itself (versus fumbling with the strap lug snaps).
