perception is important, no?Up to a point, the visual system's chromatic
adaptation still keeps white objects perceived as white though with a new IOL
the change will be very noticeable. This system is very effective in
preventing a substantial amount illuminant metamerism. There are many types of
processing shenanigans that go on like the Stiles -Crawford effect, using blue
cones mostly as a color guide and not resolution due to chromatic aberration,
neural sharpening and edge enhancement etc. Nature predated Photoshop. The
visual system is not a camera.
