I hadn't checked recently but the ebay 'completed auction' price had
settled at around US$1600 for a good one, just before the Mk. 2
became available. Local price here now is about US$1400 - 1500 I
think and ebay varies between $1200 -$1400 depending on condition,
whether boxed and whether it's got the grip. You can get a new one
but someone seems to be selling lots as two or four lens kits - an
odd sales strategy. Refurbs are offered at $1500.
I'd expect the used price to be lower in Asia (Japan/HK) due to lower
new prices and the rapid take up of new models there. I'd hope to get
a little more for mine selling locally for all the usual 'trust' and
low postage reasons.
