The image returned by the C-8080 is basically 4:3. I think the sensor is
3:2, but part of it is used for display stuff (histogram, etc.), so it
makes 4:3 photos. That's how it was explained to me (thanks Winsor), I
can't cite chapter and verse.
In retrospect, the C-8080 has the feel of a miniature E-1. Build quality
is the same. The lens is dynamite. That camera will continue to earn its
keep.
