I bought the E-1. It was an agonizing decision for me, but it
came down to the following things:
1. Sensor cleaning. This is THE killer feature of Olympus.
2. Portrait friendly format that requires little cropping.
3. 100% viewfinder. I'm able to maximize my pixels!
4. Image color. Wow! is an understatement.
5. Weatherproofing.
6. Zuiko lens semi-compatibility.
7. Ergonomics.
8. Quiet and smooth.
9. 14-54mm lens. Nice size and weight, excellent lens.
10. Price was unbelievable.
Things I didn't like:
1. Lack of image stabilization.
2. High ISO noise (which I rarely ever use).
3. Lack of features. The E-1 is pretty dry compared to many.
The E-1 is "all camera". You're not flying a computer. Not much
stands in the way of getting the shot.
