Original design had no md port, so I think they had to backtrack when motor
capability was added, and add parts to prevent fogging. I used to convert
old OM-1s to accept motor drives (I don't do it anymore) and there must be
20-30 parts involved (including a new low speed governor and speed cam
stack).
