Hej Berndt

I have both the 3.6 and the 3.5-4.5, And like them both. They both have their
good points; if I had to keep one, I would keep the 3.6 (cost me 1000dkr some
years ago from Merlin in KBH). But I also know that I tend to use the 3.5-4.5
more, as it fits in a standard Olympus ERC. In fact in the last six weeks I sold
a 3.5-4.5 together with a 85-250 in a package deal (3000dkr). I have ended up
buying another 3.5-4.5 (in much better condition), and another 85-250! I expect
to hang on to the 'new' 3.5-4.5; it is very nice to be able to throw an OM with
zoom lens into a daypack, well protected by an ERC....
Regarding the polarizer, I do not use one much with a lens that has an effective
maximum aperture of 4.5; things get a bit dark in the viewfinder.
And last, my 3.6, which seemed to have been used by a pro (sold side-by-side
with a battle-scarred black OM-2), has perfect zoom/focus.

mvh / regards

The 3,5-4,5 rotates when focusing. Very annoying when using a pola. The hood
(same as 50/1.8) also makes pola-using almost impossible.

I bought a defective 3.6 (got it returned) Whatch out so that focus
maintains while zoomming.
