Same output as a T-32 (about 50ws equivalent), just bulkier. You *can* have
the 283 modified with a dial in thyristor circuit that goes down to 1/64
power if you want to play with super high-speed photos for relatively cheap
(minus the sound trigger or light beam). There are a bazillion other
accessories for the 283 workhorse too.
