Apologies for spamming my evangelical rant to the list. This got a
lot longer than I intended.

"R. Lee Hawkins" <lhawkins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> moved upon the face of the 'Net
and spake thusly:

Hmmn, write in LaTex and use latex2html? This is how many other FAQs
are done. It's probably too much work hard if you don't already know
what TeX is...

(Yup, I'm another UNIX nerd).

For the uninitiated, a TeX and LaTeX are typesetting languages often
used for research papers, and even whole math and computer-science
textbooks. A LaTeX document looks like this:

    \title{Olympus FAQ}

    \section{Equipment}
    \subsection{Batteries}
    Just write as you would normally with a few simple exceptions like
    double spacing your paragraphs and escape some symbols \& stuff.

    etc.

and can be converted thence to the most beautiful typeset output, or
to HTML or many other formats.

Table of contents is automatically generated.

You don't need a GUI, and I have run TeX on an 8086 with 640k.

\end{evangelism}
