The fujis provide just that; it's accessible and can be "blind"-adjusted while
you're framing.

I don't see a need for a separate dial. As you say, the setting is right there
on LCD and EVF.
With my two control wheel cameras, E-M5 and GX7, one of the wheels is always EV compensation, my finger can always find
it, and I can watch the setting change as I do it. I personally don't feel that a separate dial would be useful.
