In my case, one mount is all that is necessary because I swap lenses
from the digital body to the OM bodies. If each lens had an adaptor,
I'd have to remove it every time to put on the OM body.

But, I think for "normal people", it might have more to do with how
the lens mount operates. Some of us prefer the OM lens release as it
allows for one handed operation without warping your pinky out of
shape to press the body button.

Another factor, is having to turn the camera off when changing lenses.
If you use just the one adaptor, you can swap lenses without the
camera needing to be turned off. This, however, is worthless if you
use chipped adaptors that identify the focal length used.

So, whatever...
