My little plastic fantastic digital micrometer says 1.0 mm. The solid
part behind the threads is really thin. I'd be interested to see if a
generic one cut down in a lathe as Wayne suggests would be strong enough.
It is also a rather shallow adapter, about 9.5 mm total depth.
