Okay then, on that scale I must be an idiot. :-)
I'd need more than a scanner and software to fix that kind of picture. But
admittedly, most of the faded ones I have wouldn't be as far gone as this
one you've fixed for Walt.
Thanks to everyone for the advice so far. I'm going through it all again
more carefully later today, and then start looking for availability and
prices. For those who suggested using a camera (C5050 it would have to be
for me right now), I doubt it would work so well on the Kodachromes I want
to copy. For the B&W, especially the larger studio pictures, I'll definitely
give it a try.
