Shortly after buying Picture Window Pro I asked Jonathan Sachs (the
author) about the conventional wisdom (amongst PhotoShop users at least)
of doing multi-level resampling when resizing an image. I asked him if
this was necessary and/or desirable when resizing with PW Pro.
His response was that a properly designed and coded resampling algorithm
(such as is used in PW Pro) does not need the user to intervene and help
it out. I have to admit, however, that I've never done a multi-level
test in PW Pro for comparison.
