There is a easy way to do it if you can get hold of a piece of dynolabel
tape the old kind. you remove about a inch or so of backing tape to expose
the sticky side.  push this into the roll of film at bottom and turn film
back in direction of rewind until it starts to pull the tape in gently pull
out usually works for me the first time,  Or just take roll with you next
time you are in a hour photo and they should have tool to pull leader back
out.
