Is the battery drain the main reason to avoid a 4 or are there other
electronic issues in repair/replacement to be concerned about?  I have'nt
experienced any problem with mine other than the hung-up winder that you
corrected when I first got the 4 a couple of years ago.  I've just gotten
into the habit of removing the batteries if I'm not going to use the camera
in the next couple of weeks.  My 4 fails the  40 second 4T board test.
