When I got a new computer with XP, I found that the adaptec SCSI card
that came with my Canoscan scanner didn't work and there are no drivers
I could find for that card and XP. Ed Hamrick and Vuescan
<http://hamrick.com/vsm.html> to the rescue. On his site, he has links
to a generic SCSI driver layer for XP called ASPI that supports lots of
cards. That solved my problem and may solve yours. I'm not even sure if
I tried the Canon software with ASPI installed, as I only use Vuescan.
