Thanks Moose. That reminds me once I get it running I'll have to visit
hamrick.com. I'm using the firewire interface ... and had some luck last
night. I had put a new disk in the computer. The hardware that XP found
doesn't match what was on the original disk. The original disk seems to
work ... at least as far as I got. There are a few generic PCI to xxxx
entries on the new disk that weren't on the old but the number of
missing entries on the new disk is pretty surprising

Missing under System
     Intel 82801DB LPC Interface Controller - 24CD
Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Processor to AGP Controller - 2561
     Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Processor to I/O Controller - 2560
     Openmanage Client Instrumentation device driver
     Terminal Server Device Redirector
     Volume Manager
Missing under Network Adapters
     five WAN Miniport entries
     Direct Parallel
Missing under Sound, video and game controllers
     Microsoft Kernal System Audion Device
Microsoft WINMM WDM Audion Compatibility Driver
Missing completely Storage Volumes
     Generic volume
     Generic volume

I think I've got quite a bit of poking around to do. Thanks again,
-jeff
