He has tried to offer digital, but no clients "believe" in it just yet. He
has a D1x, but, according to him, his clients can spot a digital print from
a medium format print in a second (and so can I).

What is neat though is that (again according to him) he sees more and more
digital cameras from wedding guests. He asks and they say they just want
stuff to email. Everyone always buys the "pro" prints.

This is a bit too bad because those of us who want a better digital camera
(and have to save for it!!!!) will have wait a bit more. "Better" digital
cameras are not mainstream yet.

>His estimate is the 99 per cent is medium format.<

I wonder if many who do wedding photography are somewhat trapped in their
system. After all, they have a signigicant amount of money tied up in their
kit, they are familiar with it's use and, probably most importantly, they
use specialized processors for their wedding packages.

To switch to digital upsets all of the above. With that said, I think that
wedding photography will evolve into digital. One could shoot the wedding,
upload the digital files to a service bureau, exchange information via email
and digital images, with the final prints coming by mail, etc. as they do
now.
