Thanks to the group for the hiking advice and your
concerns for my health. If I take it slowly and drink
lots of water, I think I will be OK. I have a backpack
with hip belt and Camelback inside.

You have scared me a bit with the weight issue though.
I think I will take OM-3, OM-4T, Vivitar 17-35, 50/3.5
and 100-200. I have to take my CF Velbon and Acratech
head--it's only 4 lbs and I paid dearly for it so I
could take it hiking.  I just sold my 35 shift to a
list member so I won't be taking that.

Really, take a conditioning hike or two with what you intend to
carry.  It will make all the difference.
