I'm primed for some of the CV equipment, though I don't foresee abandoning
my OM's anytime soon. I'd love to expand on the bit of Leica gear I have,
but the cost is less affordable over time. I can't justify to myself that
the Leitz glass is worth 4-5X the cost over the CV, and in some cases there
isn't a Leitz alternative at any cost. I personally feel RF cameras are best
for certain kinds of shooting, SLR's are better for other kinds. I won't be
trying to use the 24-shift with an RF body, but I wonder if I might not have
been better off buying a CV body and 12mm and 15mm rectilinear lenses rather
than my OM 18/3.5 and 21/2.0...?

But I can understand Larry finding that he's using the CV stuff more and
more, as I've seen very good results from that equipment and that's really
what counts. They have a very good mailing list, some 'Leica envy' present,
but more often a feeling of "Hey, we've found something that's very very
good!" and some very good photographers on the CVUG list. Many of them use
multiple Leicas with the lenses, or have mixed kits... I'm looking forward
to using the CV lenses with my IIIg and IIIf (and Canon IV-SB) someday.
