Hello Frank,
A friend of mine had exactly the same problem with his C-2500,
so you are probably right about it being a common problem.
My friend had his fixed by Olympus. They sent it out to Portugal,
I believe it was. It is working OK now.
Olympus in Denmark could not or would not do it for some reason.
