Dave,

No offense, but I think those proposed rules are a bit much. Granted, you were
the target of some particularly twisted down under venom last week, and
understanably don't want to be subjected to that again. But I think most people
are civilized, and by nature kind. People like me seek out this list for
information, camaraderie, and to attend the daily "OM Club Meeting". Besides,
we all like to help others and share our interest/knowledge of things OM.

I have been a subscriber to this list for less than a year, and am an infrequent
contributor. But I read this almost every day and periodically render an
opinion
or idea when I feel I have something meaningful to contribute. I am also a
former photo professional and an OM user/owner since 1980. And with the new
rules, I would still be on the probationary list! What do I have to do to prove
I'm worthy? I would consider this list a bunch of snobs and look for somewhere
else to spend my time.

I think closing the list is probably enough. Just my opinion.
