I'll be 42 in a couple of weeks. I decided I wanted to try my hand at
photography while I was in veterinary school, and started with an OM10 and
50/1.8 around 1981. The OM10 was recommended to me by the staff photographer
at the school who shot with Nikons himself. The OM10 was followed by a 2S, a
3, a 4, and more recently a PC, a 2n, and a 1n, as I try to accumulate some
of the classics. Alas, my glass is mostly after-market zooms, carefully
selected from Tamron's SPs and Tokina's ATXs, mostly. I just like the framing
options of using zooms.
