AFIKT, the imaging bits are the same in the GX9. I know, you don't want such an itty bitty camera. Still, when researching my last big switch, I spent a lot of quality time with DPR's sample shots of their test target. I just couldn't find any reason to prefer one or the other.

I know, it's just an artificial target. OTOH, it's about the only way to do serious, head-to-head comparisons. It does have a wide array of components that show up various kinds of differences.

In
the default configurations (or near default), it handily beats the A7
II. But I know that when I really push the bits around, the A7 II will
come into its own. Especially for low-light exposures. But the
in-camera processing is MUCH MUCH MUCH better in the G9. Not even
close.
