You guessed wrong, Moose. I am talking of a 4/3 lens, not m4/3.
Oops. I never bought into that system when it was current, and tend to forget
it when thinking of lenses.
GOOD! More for the rest of us!

How nice for you!

Although tending to be bigger and heavier than Micro Four Thirds lenses, the
oft-forgotten Olympus SHG line of 4/3rds lenses are among the best lenses ever
made.

I don't do bigger and heavier without a specific payoff.

The wonderful 35-100/2 was for over a decade, the fastest zoom available

To paraphrase someone famous, "Lens speed is a bourgeois concept."

With contemporary cameras, my subjects and my style of photography, it's just not that important. I am looking for more DoF at least 1,000 times more often than less. I would generally opt for more DoF at the expense of noise. I carried an f2.0 Ultra wide all over Bhutan, and never shot it wider open than f5.6.

Ah yes, but remember, "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept."

The incredible 150/2 rivals the OM 250/2 as one of the best lenses ever made.
And the 50/2 macro, while slow to auto-focus, rivals the legendary Leica
Summicron 50/2, which costs $4,000+.

I managed to get all three of them for less than ONE pro-grade MFT lens!

Ah, now we're talking not absolute IQ, but bang for the buck IQ? 'Cause the µ4/3 Pro lenses are generally as good as it gets.

Small, light lenses just need to be okay.

For you, sure. Fortunately for me, many of them are also excellent.

Superb lenses that are big and heavy are okay, too!

If they are too big and heavy for what they do for me, they don't take superb
photos, 'cause they won't be used.

I carry the PLeica 100-400 because I love LONG. And, it's actually really small
and light, for that reach.
