Exactly! I've done that in a school environment (where ANYTHING that they can 
stuff up, they will). The only step I haven't use was the 6. Erase card. 
Formatting in the camera, for the camera every time that you load should kill 
anything. And Oly makes it easy by putting the Card Set-up at the top of the 
menu.
I have forgotten the routine from time to time though and yesterday I used a 
spare small SD card from the drawer (I bought a bulk lot so that I could give 
them away if necessary) to do some ebay shots quickly and found myself looking 
at shots I took at Christmas lunch 2012. Damn.
