Your system looks ok for Win 7 64, Nvidia has driver for your video card and
there are people successfully installed Win 7 64 on their P35 mother board.
4GB RAM should be enough for your photo applications.

Even I have upgarded my system to i7, I haven't found anything justify to 
upgarde the OS to Win 7/8 yet.
