I don't know what is your initial cost for the Mac Pro and how long it last.
My Core 2 2.88GHz PC built six years ago was around $400 (only upgrade the
mother board, RAM, CPU, Power supply), used for six years up to now. I
won't consider six year is a short turn over for computer.
