Hardly a fair comparison Nathan no matter what your position on the
issue. The "tobacco" scientists were employed/paid by the tobacco
industry and were thus loathe to bite the hand that feeds. The signers
of this letter are from all manner of institutions: public, private
and academic. Point being they are not paid to take a position, they
simply disagree with the science.
