What is the longevity of these dye inks? My first printer was a dye ink
HP. It made nice color provided you didn't want it to last too long.
In my house the prints would last about 18 months before noticeable
fading crept in. But the same print stuck to the refrigerator in my
son's kitchen was looking pretty poor within 3 months. I replaced the
print for him and he was amazed... he hadn't noticed the loss of quality.

So the next printer was an Epson with pigment inks. No more fading.
