Her in The Netherlands (and I have seen them too in Germany) we have
'wildspiegels' or wildlife mirrors along the roads in areas where deer
and other wild animals might cross.

These mirrors are very cheap, and you see them everywhere along the
roads. They have some effect, but the animals tend to get used to the
mirrors too, so some them keep crossing the roads nevertheless.
