One reason why farmers in Iowa occasionally post "No trespassing"
signs is that hunters often otherwise assume that they won't mind the
hunters "harvesting" the deer. Deer live like royalty around here.
And if you hit one on a motorcycle, guess what -- you're dead. I
don't ride at night. There are "Deer Crossing" signs on the roadways.
When I see one of those, I feel a little bit like I'm swimming in
shark-infested waters. They're beautiful creatures, but I prefer them
in Disney movies.
