For a lady's hand, the E-420 may be just fine. When I was looking for a 
similar camera, I considered it, but the grip area didn't seem adequate to 
me.  I bought an E-510 and have been well pleased with it.  You may find 
E-510 close-outs priced the same or lower than the E-420.
