But I think you'll find the Pentax lens compatibility better than Nikon.  I 
don't know this for a fact but from the descriptions I've read it appears that 
the K10D is able to control auto diaphragm operation on at least KA lenses and 
maybe K lenses as well.  Larry will know.  It also appears that he is doing 
metering without any special considerations that a manual lens is mounted.

The Canyon and Olympus are both good choices for multiple brand manual focus 
lens attachment solely based on their short register distance.  That is a 
statement of the possible but not necessarily the desirable.  It's fine for 
slow and contemplative work like you'd put into using a shift lens.  Got an 
expensive 90/2 macro.  You don't have to throw it out.  You can make it work 
and work well but you might not greatly enjoy the process unless you also like 
large format photography because it slows you down.
