I've been using a "Powertech" switchmode power supply I bought
from Jaycar, rated at 5v and 2A for a few years with no problems.
I prefer 5v for the bulb T10 I have as it still gives all the light I
need, while it should prolong the live of the bulbs.

Check measurement for you give 1.02A at 5.03v

My general rule of thumb for power bricks is always use at least
double whats going to be draw continuesly.

I wouldnt use the 500mA supply at all, youd be stressing it to much.
