In thinking about this some more it finally occured to me that, when you 
flip the flash on the Stroboframe, the vertical/horizontal orientation 
of the flash does not change with respect to the camera.  When you flip 
the camera the vertical/horizontal angular coverage of the flash no 
longer matches the angular coverage of the lens.  It's out by 90 
degrees.  I'll vote for flipping the flash.
