As far as I know there's only one Stroboframe model that allows flipping 
the camera rather than the flash.  It weighs twice as much and costs 
three timss as much.  If you want you can go up to several hundred 
dollars for a flash bracket such as these from Really Right Stuff 
<http://www.reallyrightstuff.com/flash/index.html> and others.  Some 
even have feet on the bottom so you can set the camera down with 
everything upright.

I've never found flipping the flash to be much of a bother and prefer 
cheap, simple and light.  I also try not to flip the flash very much and 
choose instead to crop vertically after the fact.  There are plenty of 
pixels available in a cropped image for small and medium prints.

There're a zillion Stroboframes for sale on the bay.  Buy a used one for 
$20 and ditch it later if you think you need something better.  I think 
you'll be happy with simple, light and cheap.
