My experience has been that sun washes out LCD to the point that they
are unusable. Lots of sunny days here. Even though I hate those
little inaccurate tunnel viewfinders but they have allowed me to get
a shot when it would have been impossible. Maybe some LCDs are better
than others or maybe a hat would help.
