Andrew,

to the best of my knowledge, a real telecentric design, especially with 
wide anges, requires a large mounting flange.
The flange for the four/thirds system being in fact as large as some 
flanges for traditional 35 mm cameras.
For sure this gives more freedom to the engineers in designing new 
lenses.
Or is Olympus simply reserving the chanche to use larger sensors?
