The Xerox 8400 is looking pretty good to me.

I've had nothing but grief from the ink jet devices I've had, whereas laser
printers have run for years with no trouble.
The solid ink appeals to me. Like crayons you stick in, replace whenever you
want, as I understand it.
The photos I've seen printed on it seem pretty darn nice, though I haven't
run any of my own through one to compare.
