When you get a little arthritis in your old broken fingers repeating that
twisting motion too often gets annoying. I prefer the QR plates. And yes,
Bogen seems to have too many different ones. /jim

They are great. When I'm swapping bodies and lenses, it happens very fast.
Without damaging the threads in the camera and tripod mount.

I never have figured out the attraction of the so-called quick release
plates. Why would you want to buy expensive chunks of metal with which
to burden your cameras or lenses? And if you don't have/can't afford one
on every piece of equipment they are harder to swap than just mounting
directly.
