The official lens hood for the 50mm f1.2 lens is a slide-on model.
In general, I do not have a high opinion of slide-on lens hoods,
as they sometime slide off at the worst times. Has anyone used
one of the lens hoods designed for another lens on the 50mm
f1.2 lens? How about the one for the 28mm f2.8/3.5 (#108221)
or 35mm f2.0 (#108222)? By looking at the photos of them, I
would guess that either of them would be fine, and should present
no vignetting problem. If anyone has one of them, would you
please measure it (the length)? Thanks.
