I still can't get it out of my head.  Imagine the designers:  "We need a strong 
bayonet mount for these tiny lenses.  Hey, what's that hanging around your 
neck?"  "An old Pen-FT.  Hey, yeah! Just right."  I still think that would be 
cool.  Then simply get a Pen-OM adapter and Bingo, your mounting that 35-80 
f2.8 on the new system.
