Yes, the metering would be the same.  However, I still don't think you
could use the F-280 in Super FP Mode when you're done.  I asked this
specific question to John H. some time ago, and I believe his answer was _no_.

So there's no confusion, you can use an F-280 in TTL Auto on an OM-2 (shoe
3), OM-2n, OM2sp, or OM-4 (any OM that has the third "flash quench" contact).
