:which would it be?"

This one is much easier. The 4Ti, w/o any doubt. Spot metering is very
important, so multi-spot metering is even more important ;) The option to
have Auto Exposure can be a life saver when you're in a hurry, and is also a
necessity for photomicrography. The option to have the 2-4 screen mounted
alone would be a reason to buy this camera. TTL OTF flash metering is
something I don't want to be without when doing macro. The 3200 ASA setting
is a must have for concert shooting. Super FP Flash? I don't use it that
much, but still it's nice to know it's there, can make daylight fill-in a
lot easier. These FP capabilities would not be a reason to prefer it before
the OM-4, but the more reliable electronics, reduced battery drain and
reduced weight certainly are. MLU and aperture prefire (both coupled to the
selftimer) is also a necessity for high magnification photography
(macro/micro/super tele). Did I mention the multi-spot meter yet? ;) Oh, and
the automatic hilight/shadow correction buttons find their use also
sometimes.
