Sorry if I appear to have been asleep at the wheel. I do not seem to have
the time to keep up with the present volume of list traffic and so have
been concentrating on doing the admin things like dealing with a certain
Finnish hammer thrower and spot reading a few messages here and there.

I do not have time to moderate the list. Further suggestions on the topic
I will take as volunteering for the job ;-)
The self-regulation has righted the ship I believe, not that the list
(angle) was particularly pronounced. We may move too far the other
way (sober, staid, boring) for a while, but the mean line of advance
will remain an interesting exchange of views - even if there is a
"peppering" US politicians. I must admit that the US Army Lt Col who
works for me gives me all the opinion that I need on the candidates -
none polite.
My main problem is that I have not taken a submission for TOPE and I
must dig out my packing to find my good photos. I must also
catalogue my good(ish) shots to remember where they are. I have
bought FileMaker Pro 5 for that purpose. Now if only I can find the
time...
