I am getting concerned about the large number of messages on this
mailing list, especially about those with no real Olympus content
other than pointing to auctions held elsewhere.

In general there are about 400 Olympus items being auctioned at eBay.
I certainly hope that we don't get reminders from list members
pointing each other to all different auctions going on. The mailing
list is already crowded as it is, and everyone interested in eBay
items (like me) will find his or her way to the auction forum easily
enough without help.

Of course I know that these pointing messages are posted with good
intentions, but please do realize that they take much bandwidth. I am
seriously considering to unsubscribe from the real-time list and read
the digest list off-line instead because of the traffic intensity.

Some time back we have agreed (according to the majority's wishes) to
keep this list open for FS and WTB ads regarding sales and trades
between list members. But pointing each other to 'the cheap lens cover
in a local shop in Canberra' or 'the not too expensive T-20 at eBay'
is another thing.

Or maybe it is time (again) to ask the list members whether the list
should be split in an Olympus.photography and an Olympus.marketplace
part....?
