Very true.  I used freshly exposed film leader when I did my spot metering off
of the film emulsions and compared it to spot metering a grey card.  For some
films it made a big difference.

I'm very appreciative of you rerunning your more sophisticated test.  The
predominant response I got from members on two different mailing lists was:
"they tested that some years ago and found the variation insignificant."
Well, films are rapidly changing!  They certainly have changed since OFT was
first marketed and used technology based on reflection assumptions that no
longer hold true.

Where are you getting Fujichrome 100D?  I do miss Fujichrome 50D.  If only
this crazy taste towards highly saturated films wasn't so bad we'd have more
offerings of moderate contrast, normal saturation, wide exposure latitude
emulsions, like Agfachrome RSX 50.
